Hey fellas, I just wanted to get some opinions on what option to take. My local Kawi dealer is selling the 05 Brute for $7,500 out the door, which also includes an extra $1000 worth of free accessories of my choice, winch, plow, etc.... The new 06 model, which comes in the galaxy silver, which is sweet looking and my favorite, is out the door at $7,800 even with no incentives. Is there any new items on the 06 that would help me justify getting my color? Or, if I get an 05 and order the silver plastic in a year or so once I have beaten up the original, what will the plastic run price wise? Overall, there is a total of about $1,300 dollars between the two machines. I do think that I might be able to get a winch thrown in with the 06 which would be within $1,000 of each other, but I am not for sure. I have been hearing a lot about the new Bomb 800 and the 800 Brute EFI which should be coming soon, but I do not mind having a carb. I will be doing a lot of riding in the UP and when I am a 100 miles away from camp, I want a back up starter. Plus, I need a ATV now, I am tired of waiting, the Bomb is damn expensive and in its first year of production, and I have heard a lot of good things about the Brute. From what you can read I am trying to talk myself into it. Anyway, comments and opinions are appreciated. Thanks,

$300 does not sound tooo much to get what color you want. USUALLY the second year production of a quad is better than the first and incorporates some upgrades/refinements. The first year brute had/has tierod issues, snorkel/water/snow ingestion, and lean needle issues. HOPEFULLY KAWI addressed the issues in 06.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

If it was only $300.00 it would not be to bad of a deal. But it is $1300.00. In my eyes to much of a diff. for so little of a change. Not worth it. Get the 05.

 

Kawi has a deal right now, 69 bucks for a winch when you buy a new quad, so dont pay full price for it.

I ended up getting mine for well under what they are telling you for an 05'.

Check out Honda east, in Norther Ohio, they have pretty good deals, if you dont mind the drive ( I see your in Indiana)
