I have a 02 650P and I would like to do some upgrades. I know I can do the Clutch kit without jetting but what else? Do i have to rejet on a DG3? What are other upgrades?

Too complicating to me if I may say....... I have never done Jetting or anything like that....

 

You don`t have to rejet with the dg3,you can get the top speed primary mod from vforce john, if you mod the airbox or change exhaust you most likely will have to rejet.

 

What I really want is Low end torque. I am not really looking for speed. If I was I would have bought a racing model. I want to be able to launch from a dead stop and have plenty of power for my hill climbs and trails. Where I go its nothing but Mountains.

 

If you don't care about top-speed, then the DG3 will be fine for your purposes. Actually, any module will do the same thing regardless of what they claim. I've owned the original DG holeshot module and it worked fine (but I prefer the Dyna CDI for my XC races). If I were you, I'd get he new Moose module...its not better or worse than the other modules, but its plug and play whereas the others all require cutting some wires.

PS - Go to Nyroc's website and do some searches in the Tech Tips section for Prairies. It has lots of helpful tips on how to modify and repair P650s, including pics! If you check out the instructions on how to rejet, I think you will find its not really complicated at all. If I can do it, anyone can.
