Right its advertised as a klr500 4x4, but the guy says its actually a 300 which was bored or a different cylinder put on it. As for the 4x4 he says there is no front shaft in it, he said it was an option when buying to have 4x4 or not! What is you'r opinon on this bike, any troublesome points, what should I look out for other than the obvious stuff. Thanks

 

Never heard of it and i think it is just about impossible to go from a 300 to a 500 with a piston change

thought it was BS. I don't mind it beign a 300 anyway I think I can get a good deal on it. Any info on the 300?

 

I went to look at it and it was a heap of ****, seriously!! I wouldn't have took it if I got it for half nothing. The thing is as rough,parts missing,no clocks,has to be started by touching the wires,backfires,has no power,a screwdriver for a pull start handel,bent axel,rusty rims and hubs, a piece of pipe for an exhaust and the list goes on.

I have two pics I'll try and get them up. He said the bike looks rough but everthing works 100%. I thought from looking at the pics I'll just get new rims,tyres,fenders,put a winch on it and resell it. BTW he said he tried to fix the timing by welding pieces onto the cogs for the timing chain? don't know what he was at.

Is there alot of riding in ireland or is most of it dirt roads and such.
