Default 2 quicky questions

Well, i had a great weekend of riding. I went to my families house in eastern kentucky in the mountains and rode about 150 miles of wonderfull trails. The only problem i had was that the belt light came on in the .35 sec intervals. I know that means the belt has wear so im just gonna get a new belt. When i change out the belt, will this light stop flashing or do i have to do a reset procedure. Also, my battery died this weekend and the wheeler wouldnt start. I got a new batter and everything worked fine but the winch stopped working.. IS there a fuse or somthing that might have went that caused this to happen. thanks

turn off your key, there are a black and grey 5 pin connectors right under your shift lever. Take them both apart and put them to their opposite color. Black on grey, grey on black. There is also a little 2 pin connector. pull that apart also. Once you have the colors switched, turn your key on for about 10 sec, let it blink. turn your key off and let the bike go through its normol procedures of blinking and buzzing. Once that is done, put the black and grey wires back to their right colors and plug up the 2 pin connector. after this is done the light should be off. any more question because it made sound confusing, just ask.
