Yes you will undoubtly beat him. You have much higher accel and your top speed is gonna be around 72mph. The rm100 is gonna be slow and has ~24 hp. Its also not a race machine cause you never see rm100 on the track cause there is no 100cc class. He will be behind you all the way from start. BTW you should wash your quad alittle more and not the plastic.

hahaha thats funny the rm 100 is 100% race machine its a 80 with a factory over bore and 19 16 wheels if the rider is good on the rm he will pull you untill he tops out 55 to 60 mph i had a yz 426 and never had a quad beat me in a drag race allthough i had a worked banshee stay right with me al so that 24 hp machine weighs 160lbs not 375 like the kxf

Not a race bike? Obviously you have no idea what an RM100 is. It's a yellow KX100, which like rulingtheroost said, is an 85 with a big-bore cylinder and 19/16 wheels. Think about it. Nearly the power of a 125 with a lot less weight. I've seen many 85s wax 250s in the open class. If your brother can ride and keep it on the pipe without looping it out, you'll have your hands full at the least.

69hemigtx and rulingtheroost, in reference to your comments to torbinx saying the RM100 is not a race machine:
well, there's no filter on this site to separate knowledgeable people from others. I see comments like torbinx's all the time. I find it sad but, hey, what are you gonna do?
But to the original question, I agree, the KFX400 should win so long as the run is long enough. Those little MXers are not to be underestimated. They got power and are pretty damm fast in the hands of a capable young guy. Plus, a well-tuned 100 will take a 125 in a short burst. I honestly would like to see what would happen with the 400. But, theoretically I would think the RM would pull ahead in the first few gears but may lose ground on he top end because of its engine size.
BUT, as always, I love asking this question: Why does it matter????
My friends and I have fast quads:Banshee, an R my Tecate 4 etc. We never race, we ride hard and try cool stuff. When we do bother with a short little race, it's a spur of the moment thing for a few laughs and we don't really care.

rm is made for racing. the only reason they upgraded to a 125 is so that the rm 125 can race in the 125 class. there is not 100 cc class so they upgraded. by all means its a racing bike.. just knowing its a 2 stroke u should know that.
