Default Help...front diff locks up/freezes when rolling forward or rev slowly

Yesterday, I used my P650 to pull a small utility trailer around the yard to pick up limbs knocked down by Hurricane Rita...while going 1 mph, my quad suddenly stopped and it acted like it hit a wall or something. I tried to back up, but after moving only a foot or so, it did the same thing.

I have figured out that the front diff is locking up and won't allow the front wheels to roll past a certain point. I jacked up my front end and when I turn one side, the other wheel turns the opposite direction. This occurs regardless if the wheels are pointed straight or to the side. Then I pulled in the front diff locker (which I very rarely use) and it rolled forward a little bit and then stopped...rolled back a little bit and stopped again (just like it had when I rode it at 1mph). It seems like I can push it in neutral faster than 1 or 2 mph and it will release the front diff and roll forward...but as soon as I push it slower than 1 or 2 mph, it will lock up and stop.

So what do you guys think is wrong with my front diff? Do you think the spider gears are screwed up or maybe a tooth is broken off and stopping the spider gears?

Happy trails...

Ok, I've decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I put my name on the waiting list for the Recall work...I'm planning to get the "stealer" to inspect/repair my front diff at the same time he does the recall so as to save a few $$ on labor for the front diff repair (keep in mind that both jobs require disassembly of the front end to some degree). Of course, the biggest downside to my plan is that I will have to wait at least a month or more for the recall parts to arrive at the dealer.
