Default V FORCE TO --> KFX 400

I am looking to sell my 700 and move to a 400. What is the pros and cons of doing this?
For my self i just want more of a sport ride, but do some trails , how is the 400 on the trails?

400 would most likely be more nimble on the trails...however stock vs stock your 700 would hammer it.

400 is great in the trails and is easier to ride aggressively but its true that it lacks a lot of power compared to the 700.

Why would you do that? Just get some Elka's for the V and you won't find a better trail quad.

the kfx is more nimble on the trails.. it is also a smaller profile than the 700.. for better handleing. Ifypu like shifting then get it hands down. If u want auto.. and a lil more power get the 700.

Well i like the power and everything with the 700, its just i really dont need it that much. I dont race or anything so im fine with what ever the 400 puts out and i will probably up grade everything anyways.
I have never had a chain driven atv before,
does anyone have probablems with the chain and exposed disc

The Kfx 700 wasn't designed for racing. The way that I look at it is that the 700 has lots of power if u need it. A chain driven atv isnt better than a shaft drive. Just stick with ur kfx 700 its effing awesome. Sure the 400's are great too but not woth selling ur 700 for.

If you're doing tight trails then it's a great quad. Going to be a lot lighter and more nimble then the V. In 04 they switched the carrier to a single bolt tensioner so the chain adjustment is foolproof. Go with a good 1/4" swingarm skid (PRM or ProArmor) and you won't have any problems with the rear end. The new suspension is nice, fully adjustable, and the upgraded motor is a nice touch too.
