Default Watch Out Brute Force Owners.....

The KingQuad guys will be getting a full replacement ECM from Yoshimura in January that will adjust fuel and timing......yes, that means the low-end lag is gone and then much more. It will also allow to compensate for a pipe, filter, etc. I know you guys will probably still take us in a drag, but the other Suzuki guys and I are overjoyed that we'll finally be getting our "module/CDI" and be able to show that this 700-single has more guts than it appears to. Just thought I'd make it known on the green side of the forums.

Cool news! Now if they can just make an aftermarket replacement for those weak tie rods, then you'll be in business!

Happy trails...

thanks for the warning does everybody get one? and is it a stepped up CDI like the Dynatek, or just what a stock one SHOULD perform like?

I would lean more towards "stepped-up." If it's like the Suzuki street bike version, and we have good reason to believe it will be since they share their fuel-injection system with the KingQuad, it will be both fuel and timing adjustable. This not only gets rid of the lag, but probably enhances the powerband timing-wise as well. Aside from that, this will act as a Dobeck TFI or PowerCommander as well with mapping to adjust for more or less fuel for instances such as aftermarket pipes, air filters, etc. Should be a pretty good gadget for King owners.
