Default Adding coolant to BF750 radiator?

My friend brought home a new BF750 today and we went out for a little ride around the neighborhood.
We had smelled anti-freeze while running it, but couldn't see a leak anywhere.

Well- the hose blew off and he lost some coolant out of the radiator. We added coolant to the reservoir, but the coolant light came on, so we're assuming there isn't enough in the rad.
So - we found the radiator cap and it's in a very hard position to get at, and we now assume we have to take the plastic off to fill via that cap.

What's involved in getting to that cap, and how much plastic has to come off?

Thanks,

Rick

It can be gotten to easily if you remove the front plastic. The front shroud isn't too bad to remove, timewise that is.

you have one screw in each headlight top inner that has to come out, the two push pins on each side need to come out, pull off the side pockets and there is a screw on each side. take screws from floorboard to fenders off and take your rack off... takes about 5 minutes to do. the whole front plastic will come off easy
