I put up a few pic's from last Saturdays dune trip, We got some good shots of the Twin Peaks 800 BB outrunning all kinds of sport quads, 450R YFZ 450's banashees, you name it. there were alot fokes out last weekend. Don't get me wrong there were some faster machines out last weekend but we held our own with the 800 twin peaks. We even beat a few V-forces, 400 suki's and clones, along with a 2 or 3 500 Preditors with the Outlander when we were giving the Twin Peaks a rest. It was a blast. Looking foward to going back in a few weeks. Hope to have NOS by then might even PO a few drag quads then. LOL

Pic's #9, #10 ,#17 are from last Saturday

How does your TP800 compare to your Outlander in a drag race?

cc1999,
Nice pics!

I also have a question for you. I noticed that Outy 800 has the same bolt pattern as the Prairie700/ TP700, but a slightly different rim offset. Have you tried mounting the TP rims/tires on the Outy 800 to see if they will fit? I would really like to know.

Happy trails...

Pic's 14 and 15 are from a few weeks ago when we were racing the two of them. As you can see the twin peaks beats it by quite a bit. Now last weekend I did slip my other set of Prairie paddles on the Outy to see how it would do. It does allot better than it was in those pic's but its not up to par yet. with the Twin peaks 800. I have a HMF pipe dobeck CDI ordered for the Outy, so we will see how she does with the odds evened up even more next time.

Mike here is a pic of the
Outlander with Maxis tires and wheels . The fronts are the same pair you see in my gallery on my twin peaks, if you are familar with the Big Horns you might remember how the older ones would not cleanup to a true white on the letters, however the rear set I bought to use on the Outlander (same wheel as the fronts but rear tires on them) You have to use the Prairie front offsets all the way around on the Outy) You can see they fixed there white letter problem. My back tires are a true white where the fronts are a little offwhite.
There is also a pic in my gallery where the stock tires are mounted on type 4 ITP cast wheels. Those are just 2 sets of front rims that I had laying around with old tires on them, that I had dismounted and had the Outy's stock tires mounted up on. So yes you can use Prarie rims on outlanders, as long as you use the 4/3 front offsets I think maxis calls it a +15 offset.

ITP type 4's with stock tires

Here is a pic of what happens if you use a rear prairie wheel, see how the stick out past the fenders

Here are a few more pics from a few weeks ago when we were racing the Outy vs the Twin peaks 800
Keep in mind the Outy did not have any paddles on in these races so traction was a handy cap for it.

Pic 6 : This is what happens when you handicap the Twin Peaks by running it in 2wd vs the Outy still in 4wd

cc1999,
Thanx for the info! I appreciate it.

The reason I was curious is b/c I have a set of 22" wheels/rims that I use on my P650 for XC racing (see my pics of these 22" tires/rims by clicking on the camera icon). I was thinking about upgrading to the Outy 800 one day in the future and also thinking about keeping this set of 22" tires for the Outy 800. However, I don't think it would work b/c my rear tires rear tires/rims are actually 11" wide (they are stockers off a V-force). So they would stick out past the fenders even further than the pic you had above with the rear Prairie rims mounted on the Outy. At least I know what I'm dealing with now.

Happy trails...

Dude your Twin peaks is so tight, I didn't know it could beat a YFZ450 those are wicked fast. What's your top speed on the TP? It would be the sweetest thing to put your Twin Peaks engine in a King Quad (my KQ), probably not possible but that would be awesome!

With its stock clutch having a run out in low 70's the Big Bore kit still does not change that fact, So its top speed is realy very little difference in its top speed and say a stock 700 motor or even my old Prairie 650. They all have similar top speeds, the big bore 800 twin peaks does however get there allot faster than the others. I have most of the parts I need to swap over to a V-force setup with a custom clutch that could possably bump it into the low 80's. Either that or extend the revlimmiter even more then the Dyna box does now. Given enough room the Bomb 800 would eventualy run it down since its run out is in the upper 70's low 80's. Since we seldom ever have a chance to race more then a few hundred feet to an 1/8 mile, I just never got around to messing with changing it over for more top speed.

Thanks guys for the coplements.

cc1999 first off I know it is a long way from wichita kansas but if there is any way possible try to make it. Anyway on nov. 4-6 mainly on the 5th there is a get together in Sicily Island La. There are suppost to be alot of people there and it will be a sand drag with a tree. It's run what ya brung and there will be some VERY fast quad there. With nos you should be able to do very well but like I said there will be some truly bad boys show up. Mainly I'm just itching to see your quad run so I'll know what to expect after visiting Inmotions. Sicily Island is a couple of hours east of Bosier City. I know I might beat a few here and there but I would LOVE to see you come smoke a few guys who think they are fast. Also the look on their faces as you probaby know is priceless anyway if it's possible try to make it. If you want more info on it check out the Bombardier forum.
