Does anyone know where I might find a good used motor for my brothers mojave? I just got burnt real bad with a salavage yard which sold us a "perfect motor" which turned out to be complete junk! So I have called all the local places and there is no other used motorsin the New England area. I have found a few motors for out ragous prices with out any type of warrenty. Also they like to jack up the shipping costs to make a little extra.

 

What about a good rebuild on the bad motor. You can get a little extra hp out of it while your at it.

 

The motor that came with the bike had something go wrong with the transmition I think that it was shifted into reverse while going forward. In urn busted two shafts and a couple of gears.One of which is attched to the back of the clutch basket.Also something became lodged in the oil pump and shattered that whole assembly. So the repair bill would be really high. Wheither it is worth rebuilding I am not quite sure.I didnt have the time to actually tear it down myself so my brother who owns the bike brought it to a dealership and on top of the transmition problem they said basically the whole top end was in need of replacing. I disagree with them I kind of think they were trying to pull one over on us because I cant find anything wrong with what they said was junk. The piston, cams, cylnder, head, crank etc. I dont think there is too many honest people left in this world!
