Just a question on a 1996 Kawi Lakota. Does anybody own this machine? how available are parts for these machines and are they pretty reliable? Any input would be great cuz for 2700 it is in mint condition and i just wanted to check up on these machines first. Thanks in advance.

I guess thats 2700 cdn? If that is 2700 american than that is a very bad buy. I got my 1995 Lakota for 1200 American but im not sure how much cdn that converts into.

I just bought and 02', I don't get it till christmas, but i start it up and ride it around my backyard everyday. From my view it seems very reliable and powerful. It starts the second you push the button. I got it for $2500, and I am looking to get some new plastics and graphics for it. But yeah, they are a great 4-wheeler. Oh yeah, does anyone know where to get a graphics kit and seat cover for an 02' Lakota? At cycleworksracing.net they have the plastics for it, but said the graphics are too much, so they didn't even put them on there. Thanx

This is the seat cover i Run on my lakota I have the black one on. you can see it in some of my pics. Its lasted me quite awhile. The stock one got cold then cracked but this one really doesnt care what the temp is it still flexes.

Yes- they're great quads. I have a 97 that I got a little less than a year ago for $1400.

yes the lakota is an excellent quad but hopefully that price is in cdn because i only paid 2000 for my 02, their are planety of parts for these machiens, you just have to look around. They are very reliable although my engine was pritty beat from the previous owner who never maintained it but i had it rebuilt by greg@cwr and i also get some engine mods, that was a little over a year ago and its been running excellent ever since. Just chainge the oil, clean the filter and do the other regular maintance and it will run great. Deffinatly check out denniskirk.com, rockymountainatv.com, and cycleworksracing.net
