Exhaust mod without the noise?
#1
Is there an exhaust mod out there that will increase the HP and performance of my BF 750, but not make it any louder. I would like to keep the noise down mainly for hunting purposes. Thanks

Check in to a pipe with a queit core insert. I run a hmf pipe and have a quiet core for it. The thing sounds great with out the qc but when you install it the bike quietens back down to very close to stock. With the qc installed there is only a mild hint of rumble but not enough to make any noticable difference from stock. In other words any game that would be spooked by the pipe with the qc would be spooked from a stock machine as well. My pipe did not come with the quiet core insert but it only cost me about $20 and is very easy to install and remove. You only have to remove the 3 allen head screws from the end cap and slide in the qc, it's quick and easy, plus with it removed you get that great v twin sound for days when you just want to play and hammer on it for a while.

Ive also heard good things about the FMF Q series exausts. supposed to be a good power increase with limited noise increase. i dont know I have an FMF megamax and its got a nice rumble to it I wouldt consiter it stock quiet but I run it with all 11 disks. and no quiet core so i dunno. www.fmfracing.com is their site check it out.
