hey, i am in the market for a 200, 250, or a 300 quad, which out of all the popular brands is the best & fastest
i was thinkin it was the 300ex, mojave, or blaster but still unsure.

 

Under 300cc it has to be the blaster, no contest. The warrior is about the same speed.

 

not unless you are counting the 250r's the LT and TRX's.

they are the fastest quad known to man, as long as they get into the right hands of an engine builder. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

bore/port/polish/mill, a trx250r and you'll be eating all the new 4 lungers.

they arent new, but hey, they are better than new for cheaper. and you can built it how you like it for the same cost as new.

 

First off they are all 15 years old and probably not the best bike for someone looking in this size range. Those looking for sub 300cc bikes are typically smaller beginners, not the kind of riders you want on 25-30 stock hp 350 pound machines. Their mechanical skills and funds and ability to build up an old bike would be lower than most.

Also, a good 250R costs around 2500-3k here, one that runs and doesnt need 1k worth of new parts. A new blaster is 3k, used for half of that.

The 250R is an excellent bike, but it's probably not the best fit for most buyers in this field.

Now if he's looking for a race machine to fit into a specific class, or just wants a small bike, then the Honda R would be my choice.

 

the blaster is a 200 cc made by yamaha.. and it will beat the 250s made by suzuki and kawi.. the blaster is the best 200-300 cc quad for xcel and most likely speed, because the honda 300ex is slow.

 

well id say the blaster or mojave, my cousins blaster and trailblazer 250 raced once and that blaster just flew past it, but i beat the trailblazer on my bombardier rally, so it really wasnt much for the blaster. but in about a week or two ill be getting a 2002 Mojave so then me and my cousins blaster can drag race, then we will see what happens and the mojave and blaster are stock.... O and by the way, if any of you know can a mojave pull wheelies in first & second gear or just first

 

well it depends on the rider both of our mojaves will pull in first and the piped one will in 2nd the piped one will beat most blasters in the dune drags where we go in the summer hey just my 2 cents worth

 

The Blasters are also easily modified and have a ton of aftermarket parts available. They are also inexpensive, even brand new ones.

 

the 87-88 kawasaki tecate4 was THE fastest 200-300 stock quad...period !!! i know ..i had one ,they are nasty fast in stock form. YOU DIDNT SAY 4 STROKE EITHER !! not the mojave either. LOL[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

just wants a small bike ? have you ever sat on an r ......they have an abundance of room! im 6 1" ,225 lbs. and have tons of room on mine . a small bike would be a 250x,230s,250s,300ex,mojave,blaster,lt185,breeze, and so on. WOW i wouls say to him 300ex,blaster,mojave in that order for best trail quads for a rookie or smaller rider. i really like the 250x if modded also!!
