I would go with Mobil1 Synthetic.. If ya want you can try the the additives that will keep it cooler mixed with your antifreeze...

Just make sure the anti-freeze is aluminum approved and green colored, the prestone green etc. will be fine....No wet clutch on the Brute so any good quality will be fine, just keep it changed regular.....As stated above, a good sythetic is the best way to go, as it will flow better in cold weather and not break down as fast in hot weather.....Wally World here where I live now carry's Mobil 1 truck&suv oil that is gas and diesel rated, it is a better heavy duty oil and is rated at 5w-40, so it's great for cold/hot weather....this is the "old" Mobil Delvac1 synthetic just repackaged......the newer delvac diesel was reformulated for the new diesel emission standards engines....

A good oil to check out, plus you can get rear diff oil from them, is Amsoil. They have a great synthetic oil and they also carry a good quaility oil filter also. I run the 10W-40 in my Brute and I really like it. I use their hydraulic oil in my rear diff, and I use their oil filters also. For 10 bucks you can become a preffered customer for 6 months and get pretty good prices on their stuff, I think that it is about a 25% savings. Go to amsoil.com and check out their prices. Once you order, you will get the products within a day or two. Hope this helps.
