Hey everyone!
I'm new to this site. Been looking for a place to share stories and get advice. My old war horse, a 300 Bayou 4x4, got a front cv boot shredded last weekend by a rogue steel fence post hidden in the timber. I've got the new boot and have everything tore down, but I can't get the cv joint off the drive shaft so I can slide the new boot on. Any help or instructions from somebody that has been there would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, and I hope I can contribute to this group!

After you remove the clips on the outside of the boot, slide it back. There is a retaining ring inside the housing that has to be removed. After removing the retaining ring, slide the shaft out of the housing. At the end of the shaft where the ball bearing is there is a snap ring that has to be removed. Remove the snap ring and slide the bearing off. Slide the old boot off and put the new one on in reverse order.
