Default What happened..................

Parked the Lakota after pokin' around a bit the other day then came back to go out again a little more and found a puddle of gasoline under the quad, looked like about a pint's worth. I thought I had forgotten to turn off the petcock on the tank, but was still struck as odd as I had recently rebuilt the carb as well, but on I went. Came back in yesterday and parked the quad and turned off the petcock on the tank. Well- a little while later I came out to find the same pintfull of gas had dripped out onto the floor.
Question to my fellow quadspeople, did the bowl in the carb 'decide' to empty out? Anyone with experiences such as this? Anything I can do? The quad is a '97 Lakota that I bought last year, seems to have been babied by the precious owner as the quad was mostly cherry; frame engine cases. etc............

Your petcock also sounds bad. I have seen a few quads, my old P300 was one of them that would run all day even with the gas off because it was bad and still let a little gas through even in the off position.

maby the float in the carb is sticking???? Try cleaning your carb and try removing your fuel line and seeing if gas still gomes out of the petcock even when its in the off position

Its 11:1 and it really makes the kota scream considering the stock is 8:6:1 but i need to run 93 and some octane booster in itto get the octane high enough
