Im really sorry for posting a kx question (dirt bike..) but i could really use some help. I am 14 years old, 5'4 and 140 pounds. I am wondering would a kx100 be a good bike for me to learn how to ride a 2 stroke on and ride trails with it, ive ridden everything else i can think of 4 stroke, but i have never ridden a 2 stroke, im sure i could pick it up very quickly, also how would a kx100 do on top speed? i was thinking maybe 60? and how would it do in a race against a 400ex? thank you very much MERRY CHRISTMAS!! woww it went quick, waiting so long and it just flew right by

A kx 100 would probably smoke a 400 ex and it is a good bike to get used to riding on .

Riding trails on a small bore 2-stroke may be difficult for you at first. Hope you have a strong left arm. You're going to be clutching that thing ALOT.

If you have the experience on other types of bikes, a 100 would be a good start for you to learn the habits of a two-stroke. You will use the clutch a lot more than any thumper, but not as much as an 85 because the 100s have a little more torque. You're plenty tall enough for it, so I say get one. Just take it easy at first because a two-stroke can put you on your backside fast if you're not ready for the hit. I have no idea about its top speed. I don't know many times I ever ride wide open in top gear, so I pay no attention to that stuff.
