I don't post much about my mojave That's a good thing However, I do watch for topics on the mojave Always willing to learn something or help someone out

Mine is still running.....somehow. It smokes more than a 2 stroke and it's moody to start first thing in the morning, but it's our community beater now. Since I got both of the 400ex's it just isn't much fun to ride anymore. I just leave it sit out at the farm and whoever comes over on our Saturday rides that breaks down or doesn't have a quad there goes and beats on it. lol

My lakota snapped a throttle cable so i just gave up on it and decided to start the snowmobiling season. Alot of good that did. My sled ate up a crank, piston, con rod bearing and main bearing. So i have nothing to ride.

did you ever give one of those cwr filter kits a shot, i wanna try one out but im not sure how hard it would be to adapt one to fit the lakota

i still have my 87 mojave. it was quite problematic for me...seems ok now though.it seems to knock under heavy load...like it wants more octane. i run sunoco 94 in it though. little top end noise during shut down. it has a cwr cam in it ...valves adjusted correctly.runs quite strong for a little 250,great tight woods bike!! i kinda like it i guess.. for a money pit. tried to sell it ...nobody wants a mojave anymore.guess i gotta keep it !!

Mine does that same thing it kinda makes a knocking sound under heavy load when its lugged down and then you accellerate but it clears up and then the power hits real nice.
Mine's always done it I never thought much of it...
