What Is The Best Kawasaki?

Not meaning to start something here, but have you thought about something other than a kawi? I have a 2004 yamaha Bruin 350 4x4, and love it. The price is unbeatable, and the machine is rock solid. It will go just about anywhere, especially with the Mud Lite XL's. I would at least check into one, and see what kind of a deal you can get. We did alot of checking around when I got mine, and the Bruin was the best deal around.

I'll give another vote for the prairie. I'v had 2 of them and loved them both. Very friendly but my 650 and 700 may be a little too hard to steer for a woman, mine was, she didnt like the heavy steering. We got her a polaris trailblazer, she loves it and can ride as long as she wants. so far as kawi, i think they are great, just get the right size for the rider, other wise you'll be unhappy.

The Prairie is a great machine but the BF with ITP wheels and tires, wow. The BF is the most stable quad out there.
Breaking down the BF750 in first year may have a higher amount of problems. I have 1200 miles on mine with all the modds mentioned in sig and have had no problems. I took precautions sealed electrical system where some failures happened. Replaced tie rods and ends before recall.
Power it is close or faster than most sport quads. Top end low 70's before air box mod coming up.

650 Prairie or 650 BF Solid rear axle
Had both the 400 and 650 Prairie's
400 Prairie was for slower riding and didn't like pulling a trailmower, and use more fuel than the 650 in the dunes and faster riding.
The 650 was perfect with only a belt problem in 4K miles.
We sold the 400 within a year after new purchase and replaced it with a 400 Scrambler Polaris. Sold the 650 at 4K miles and wish I still had it. Looking to buy a 650 BF Solid axle.
$5700.00 out the door in MO.

You guys are all great but getting a little off topic!!! His wife is looking for something tame, not a BF--and this is a KAW forum, not a yami or polecat forum--a good point made though was the hard steering---my KAW 360 with the stock dunflops was still a little hard to steer compared to the Polaris' in two wheel drive---I am not sure why, but steering got a lot easier in two wheel drive with the mudlights--
I put the black secondary sping in mine and took out the two stock clutch shims when the bike was still new--I have around 3000 miles on it now and my original belt still specs out to almost new---I never use low range--it seems to rev the engine to much for even slow trail riding---
Buy her a 360P---

A lot would depend on what your wife would want and is able to handle. We have a P360 and a Bayou 250. Some folks like the one and others, the other. Size of the rider is important as is the type of riding you plan on doing. My wife prefers the 250 because of the softer ride and ease of handling. I like the climbing ability and extra power of the 360. Tried a Brute but didn't feel I wanted or needed the extra power and weight. If I am just going to be chasing some cows or running an errend I often take the 250 because it is just fun to ride and easier to handle.
I would suggest you go to a dealership and let her try the different bikes and make her own choice. This would also relieve you of the responsibility of picking the wrong machine for her.
