Lakota 300 jetting help please
#1
Hi my name is Mark and live in Australia. I recently aquired a Lakota 300 which that had been imported from the USA.
I am having problems with the jetting. The bike apparently came from a high altitude and it does not run correctly where i am at sea level.
What is the standard jetting(pilot and main) for these machines so i can get it back to base settings?

yes welcome......the stock jet sizes are a #145 main, #58 pilot and the air mix screw 2 turns out but thats just a basiline that kawie puts in all the lakotas so if thats what you have and your jetting is off you will have to play with the main jets and shim your needle untill you get it right.......the easyst thing to do for you would probally be to purchace a dyno jet kit because it gives you guidelines for your elevation and it comes with a ajustable needle jet........hope this helps.....

Thanks but got it sorted. the pilot jet was gummed up. runs fine now. Holeshotz i have bought a dynajet kit and i have now installed it. Another thing that 58 jet is actually the starter jet not the pilot.
I have put the 134 from the dj kit in needle in 3rd clip and it has a 38 pilot
