i'm sure you've heard of it.the cust.serv. # is 949-460-5688. thats for kawi,i called suz, and they said i had to call kawi even though it had a suz motor. i told them it was out of warrenty . they said take to dealer have them look at it and for dealer to get ahold of them and they would try and work something out.
i went to my dealer and showed him a picture off my phone, he said he'll try and take care of it. i told him i needed the 04 cover and that if he can get it i'd even put it on my self. i want to put the evens coolant in this time for added protection.

Ha ha it's my turn. See there I could say all kinds of rude things about you and your kfx but I wont. You just remember this next time I post a question or statement kawiking. If the Rogers dosen't fix it you could always take it to that shop your so proud of

Just want to refresh this thread - it's an issue if you have an '05 or '06 KFX. There are several threads on the Suzuki forum also - just search on "corrosion".

I just bought my KFX in September ('05 leftover), only ridden it a handful of times - maybe 15 hrs or so. I took the water inlet cover off to inspect it, and there is some corrosion to the metal, but I was amazed at the scale buildup. This wasn't just gunk, I had to scrape it all out with a screwdriver. I have seen pics of others that are much worse.
My dealer told me if there's no recall on it, then it's my bill if I want it repaired. He told me to call the Kawi customer service number. This was before I had opened it up and inspected it. I think I may bring some pictures to them to see.
Pics of when I initially opened it, and after cleaning...

If you have an '05 or '06 - I recommend you take the cover off (4 bolts) and inspect your water intake. It's on the right side of the motor. Your radiator hose goes to the cover that needs to be removed.
Word is that Kawasaki isn't covering it if it's out of warranty. I may have a battle to fight because my warranty is just out by two weeks now.
