I got the wife convinced.... I'm goin to the bank tomarrow morning to get the money for the sweet lime green KFX 400 that sitting down at the dealer.

 

sweet!! tell your dealer you want a aluminium clutch cover for it!!!! the 05-06 used magnessium covers and are corroding, dont let your dealer talk you out of it. they all act like it isnt true, make them fix it, i ordered a 04 cover for mine, its aluminium. dont let them put a 05-06 cover back on it. when its out of warrenty they wont fix it and tell you that you should have brought it in before the warrenty was out. 04-cover and gasket=$180.

hope that doesnt bum you out , other than that i love my kfx!!!! i picked it over a yfz,not as much power but you can ride it all day and you a$$ wont hurt. if you have ? 's about it go to the suziki forum i ask all my ? on it because more people have z' (same as kfx).hope you wife likes it!! they do love to wheelie!!!

 

You can use a magnesium cover if you use waterless or deionized water coolant.

 

The bank wasn't open today, not sure why. I guess they arent open on Wednesdays anymore. The dealer I'm using has always been real good to me, we've bought three new quads from them and I've always got all my parts from there. They have never done me wrong. I talked to them about the clutch cover and they said they haven't had any come back but they do know about it. They know about the aluminum cover fix and told me that If this one develops a problem they will fix it that way. I think I'm getting a pretty fair deal at $5150.00 for a 2006. I plan to change the coolant to the evans coolant and run her for a while.

 

cool!! i hope you and your wife enjoy it. well maybe there era some good dealers out there. my dealer said he didnt know what i was talking about so i took a pict and took it up to him. he said he couldnt believe that, but the shop mechanic was in his office with a big grin on his face. i said you know what im talking about dont you and he just started laughing.

I work at the dealer, so I heard about the cover, brought it in, took it apart and showed my manager. Ordered up the cover for me no problem.

 

I picked it up earlier today and I love it. The power is great and it rides great.

 

I have a KFX 400 06 and its two weeks old do you think if I take to them and tell them I want the clutvh cover replaced they will do it for nothin, or they will charge me?
