Default Oil in Generator case

I have a Prairie 300 4x4. I found oil in the case that holds the generator. Is that normal?

Default Oil in Generator case

Yeah, wasn't used to that being wet. I thought that was the reason it would not start. I found that when the exhaust valve is bent and the piston isn't connected to the rod, it makes it a little difficult for it to start too. Poor little Prairie has issues. Thanks for the reply.
