Is it a good reliable machine for the wife and kid? They have no rideing skills.

Yes they are good bikes. Bayous are small ebough that they handle great and are reliable. i drove mine for almost 3 years and i wasn't exactly easy on it. . . .It would be a great bike for a beginner
