That looks great! I guess Kawie figured out what the others should have known -- any 450 with reverse is going to be a sales monster. Most people who buy a 450 are causal riders who could use reverse and to whom the weight different isn't going to matter anyway.

the partnership with suzuki is over after 2006 so its not a rebadged suzuki- its their own creation.
granted they prob have a 450 quad from yamaha, suzuki, honda and even cannondale(440 in this case) in their possession (all the OEMs have their competitors' machines- dont ever think they dont) that aided in the design. id say that if they did this machine right it will be a huge hit for them.
as previously mentioned, most people that buy a 450 are not racers and will never see a mx track on a consistent basis- they are mosty trail riders/duners, so reverse was a good idea - though not a necessity. reverse isnt going to add that much weight anyway- none that the al. frame wouldnt erase. i would love to see a some specs and a test of this machine....and see it win the baja 1000 - a good indicator of durability. and if the all- aluminum frame is a definite reality, the bar just went higher for honda, yamaha, and suzuki and any others (hello ds450).

About the aluminum chassis, it is 100% aluminum, not just a subframe like the Raptor. Look at the pics. It's obvious that it's aluminum. Thank you very much Kawasaki. I will be looking to pick one up for my girlfriend. I'm not going to stop my KXF project, just add another green sport quad to the stable.

cries with joy... I've been waiting for this moment... for all my life... lol
'TIS THE SEASON FOR NEWS ON '07s!!!!! That 450 looks amazing so far... i wonder what it will weigh with an aluminum chassis! I've heard the predator is getting a re-work this year (rumors of course) and i'm a big Polaris guy, so i'm excited for that, also the KTM motored machine will be released this year so that's gonna be sweet, but until then, this news will have my interest! I've owned som Kawasakis in the past and they've been great machines, they just didn't make anything on-par w/ the Predator for this purchase... maybe after the first model year bugs (if there are any) are worked out, I'll be on a Kawasaki again for '08!
THANKS A LOT KAWASAKI!!!
