yea, i dunno. those numbers come from the Kawasaki, Canada if i'm not mistaken. mebbe they have a different power scale in Canada. maybe i will see if there is a formula to switch Newton-meters to horsepower.

this is only my opinion but I would get the kingquad and here is why- I do alot of mud riding in northern wisconsin and all I have seen out of my two buddies brute forces is the need for a stronger set of rod bearings because they are garbage. If you like wrenching on year old 8000 or more machines then I would recommend it. The other bonus to that is kawi only sells the rod bearings with new rods as a complete set(900.00) If you are lucky enough to get one that runs without this problem then you will have a machine superior to the kingquad. They also use the motor from the brute force on the arctic cats so beware. I am sure that it is not a design flaw but they are 2 for 2 at blowing up on our trips. As for the EFI on the kingquad, I don't believe you have an advantage other than for cold start and throttle response which is always minimal anyways. The EFI is so basic that I don't believe that it is capable of making changes for altitude or piping or any kind of bolt on. They don't have O2 sensors anyways. The kingquad that came with us was nice and about as fast as the new 06 rincon(680) in a drag race. If you are after power and speed then look at the can-am(bombardier)800. I own one and I love it. again, this is just my opinion.

wierd. i have never heard of the rod bearings being bad in the Brutes. you are talking about the connecting rods, right?

where did they find "a stronger set of rod bearings"? i did not think there was anyplace to get rod bearings except from Kawasaki.

I have not heard of any problems either. I run the dog P out of mine, and so does my brother and they are still whooping tail. If he was interested in a BRP he would have said so! No, he said 700KQ or 750BF! Besides, not everyone wants to pay the rediculous price of the CAN-AM! demented, if you want my op. I say get the 750BF or 650. With 1" wheel spacers (less than $65.00) it will handel as good as a KQ. Then you will have the power and handeling. As for blow a poney, he must have plenty of money, because you can make a BF out run a 800BRP and still have $1200.00 to $1600.00 left to blow on gas, helmet, cargo bags, or whatever.

easy jarvis- no need for the hostility. I just gave my opinion. the brute force will run. I gave 800 bucks more for my outlander than my buddies 7999 brute- I would love to have a bruteforce outrun me- JUST HASN'T HAPPEND! Nor does the kfx 700. I beat them by 2 quad lengths. As for the connecting rod bearings, one guy took a drink of water while playing in a creek- he was splashed from another quad. The other guys just started knocking. Iwas hoping it was just his belt but it turned out to be the rear cylinder. Kawasaki is aware of the intake issue and even make an insert to deflect water. My other buddies artic cat 650 did the exact same thing. He also has problems with the belts smoking. He has switched to Dayco belts for the "lifetime" warranty. He also runs 28 inch mudzillas which I am sure add to this problem. The guy said he wanted more power. The outlander is the most powerful. It too has drawbacks as with any quad. I just haven't had any problems with mine. As for blow a pony. That is from my supercharged mustang. But I'm sure you could outrun it in a civic for the difference in price as well.

No hostility! Just have'nt heard of this problem. If you know someone who paid 7999 for a BF750. He has already been smoked at the dealer. I would like to hear more about this insert to deflect water. Is this only happening on BF or is the Prairie also. No Hostility.
