KFX700s are fast!

Let me start by saying I hate those guys who brag about people they beat in a drag race, but I have to share my tale. I rode my pop's new KFX700 this weekend for the 1st time at a motorcycle park in NE Georgia. There was a drag strip there so I lined the 700 up to see what it could do. I beat everything from Predators to YFZs to 450Rs to Raptor 660s. Don't get me wrong, they were close wins and I did get beat by the Predator and YFZ a few times, but I would say that out of about 25 races I only lost about 6 or 7 of them. The only machine that beat me every time was a new Raptor 700 with an exhaust. My dad's KFX700 is stock mind you! The point of this thread is that I never respected the KFX700 becasue it is auto, but now I know they haul!

Yep! I have found that people just don't realize how much fun a quad with an Auto transmission and a little bit of power can be. You just have to throw a leg over one to really understand.

the thing most of the population doesent realise is the V comes very clogged up from the factory, with a simple timeing key change, primary spring and exust a raptor would be a walk for the V. the new 450rs and raptors are already pushing there limit stock but the V was made not to scare off beginners, with a few hundred bucks you can be almost unbeatalble, I love my V

My brother and I just ordered a brand new HMF exhaust system for my Pop's KFX700 today for Father's Day. The silencer is powdercoated Kawi Orange and it comes with a jet kit and all. I did a little research and most people say you get more power out of a single silencer rather than the duals, so we got the single. Hopefully I can take that Raptor 700 next time!

They are fast, loads of torque and usable power.
I just wish they didn't feel so strange. The handling bothers me, it feels to tall or something, almost too utility feeling. I mean it feels stable, but it also feels heavy. Of course I like light quick handling machines that's why I bought a KFX400. My Father loves his KFX700 and hates my 400, he says its too small. So I guess to each his own.
But they are a fun and comfortable machine for the most part.

Yeah the kfx 700's are pretty fast, but when we just got my brute 750 i raced a kfx 700 and it was a pretty good race because the whole time we were side-by-side. Once we started hitting top speeds the kfx would pull away by like half a bike or so.

i have a few video of them with pipes and they're no joke, motor have a short stroke for it big size
and really rev out strong with dual exhaust, the auto shifting with a good clutch to match seem really strong
out if the hole, they're underestimed quad i think.
