Brake cable is screwing up on Bayou!
#1
Today I noticed that if I pull the front brakes the front right one will get stuck and it makes my quad lean toward the right when im riding. So I saw that the cable or whatever, is moving and is making the front right brake stay on, but not the front left one. So what is wrong here and what needs to be done?

Hello:
Ok, try adjusting BOTH brakes at the drums, make sure that they are adjusted the same. Next make sure that the brake arm return spring is seated properly, it should make the brake arm snap back with no problem. Then, spray the piviot point of the arm with some WD40, and let it soak for awhile. That should fix er up. If not, you may have to pull the drum off and clean the whole brake mechanisim.
Hope this helps.

Um K.... I stink I can help you...
The round metal thing you speak of is not what is supposed to hold the spring... there is a hole in the brake hub that the end of the spring is supposed to go in... That round metal thingy is an indicator that shows you how worn out your brake shoes are, there is a mark on the brake hub that represents the thickness of the shoes. That is why your brake is sticking. Fully loosen up the adjustment nut and remove the cable from the arm, and then remove the little nut and bolt at the bottom of the arm and pull the arm off, but BE CAREDUL and remember how the arm is positioned. with the arm off, you will see the hole that I speak of. put the spring in the hole, and then reinstall the arm just like you took it off. And DONT FORGET TO ADJUST THE BRAKE WHEN YOUR DONE!!!
