360 hard to steer
#2
I would look again at your tie rod ends and verify that they are adjusted parallel to the link that they bolt into. They may be slightly off and this could cause some tightness while turning the wheels. (It puts a bind on the tie rod knucle itself.) Use a tape measure and check your alignment on the wheels while you check the tie rod ends again. Verify that the wheels are not toe'd outward or inward. It is an easy adjustment to make. I check mine regularly and when they are out I can really feel it while riding.

I adjusted the toe the best that I could. It was out more on the right front than the left, but it wasn't out all that much. Another thing I ought to mention, it steers real easy going backwards. If I could get it to steer that easy going forward, I would be a happy camper. Why does it steer easier backwards than forwards? Is that normal?
Update: The diff lock is adjusted and working fine as far as I can tell. I have Valvoline 10W40 motorcycle oil in front diff. The toe is set at 0. Is it normal for a 360 to steer easier in reverse than going forward? There's not much difference whether in 4X4 or 2WD in the steering either. (Except when I pull the diff lock lever).
