Default Help...V-Force Under Water

So here's the scoop. Sunday I was out riding and drove into a hole much deeper than it appeared. The only think that didn't go under was the grips. I rode right through and got my front end on the bank, and kept the motor running until I was winched out. My machine stayed running all the while, and after checking the air box and pulling the CVT plug (to let the water out [there wasn't much]), I rode it all day. Near the end of the day, and even since, I started experiencing a random power loss. Feels like not getting gas or air, but most of the time it runs fine. My next steps will be new plugs and an oil change mainly because it can't hurt, but I doubt it's either of them. Does anyone know from experience what's wrong with my V? Even some educated guesses would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I was afraid of that... I'm no mechanic. Can I spray them out? or do I have to take something apart? Will there be any internal damage now?

Can't they just be drained? my atv's manual shows how to do it.

i'm not too familiar with 4 strokes but my 2 stroke carb (when I had one) held water in the float bowl. I had to drain all of the gas from the tank and the float bowl. i wouldn't recommend using carb cleaners because they are said to be extremely harsh on your seals, causing them to epand and fail. you might try some "heet" (its basically just rubbing alcohol) it helps the water to evaporate but i would drain all of the gas from the tank and float bowl, then use heet with fresh gas.....

there are drain screws on the bottoms of your carbs, just follow the drain lines from the bottom they are right above the drain line, drain them and drain your tank (siphon it out) refill with fresh fuel and you should be ok.

Wow, that was almost 2 months ago now... Anyway, thanks guys. I drained the carbs and tank and now she runs like a champ again. Now who's got the best prices on tires? I need 25x10x12's for a Prairie...
