Default Mojave Bogging out?

My 02 Mojave runs and starts great. But when it is just sitting there idling, if i rev it up real fast from an idle it will bog and die? Any suggestions? Thanks Jordan

Its completle stock and has low hrs on it. It climbs and races good but just if you punch it in N it will bog and die.

Would it hurt if i ran a higher grade fuel in it? The book calls for 87 i think and i have 89-92 at times. I could try the carb again...

the compresson ratio on a mojave is 11:5:1 so it needs 93 octane minimum.......

does it do it more so with the choke on or off? May need a piolet jet a size bigger, or mess with the mixture screw till it's happy

The sticker on my 02 Mo said 91 octain or higher. I don't think thats your problem. Prolly a gummy carb.

Adjust the valves too while you have it apart. Very important on the Mojave and needs to be done often.

I had the same problem. I just took of the fuel bowl, and cleaned all three of the jets, I think they are the pilot main and starter jets by name, checked the valves and set the air screw to 2 and a half turns out. That took care of all my problems coming of idle, but created a new. Now the front wheeles keep coming of the ground couse I'm not used to the better throttle response, but that could be a good thing.

Well I got around to taking the bike apart. I went riding yesterday and all was well and today I went to pull the bike out and when I hit the throttle it would bog down and die. Not stumping on it just to go. So I took it apart and put it back together and it’s doing the same thing.

What its doing exactly: Starts with the choke on, idles some what with the choke off. When you hit the throttle slow or fast it dies right away.

My original post was just a bog when you would punch the throttle off idle it would bog a little and either get up and go or die. Now I can’t even rife it.
Any help would be great. I really don’t have the money to take it in. Thanks Jordan
