Default Jetting a KFX 700

Hey, new guy here. I just bought an 04 V-Force, the guy I got it from gave me a Bartlett Racing airbox kit. I got it installed using the recomended 170/175 jets, which I thought seemed really big. Now it runs like crap, its REALLY rich (big surprise). Anybody have a recomendation on what jets to try? The kit also had a 165 jet, I could try 165/170, but I don't think it would help. Thanks in advance.

What altitude do you ride at? Are you sure it's not running lean? 170/175 can actually be lean if your riding at sea level using Bob's air box and running a good exhaust.

I still have the stock exhaust, and I am only about 900'. It is definately rich at idle, it is smoking and wants to die. I turned the screws out 2.5 turns like the instructions said to. I am going to adjust on them more today. When I saw what size the stock jets were compared to the new ones, I figured for sure they were to big, and didn't put much effort into trying to tune it.

Also, does anybody have a stock exhaust they want to get rid of cheap (or free!!). I am going to make a dual set up with stock pipes.

Ok, it idles good but stumbles and smokes coming off idle up to1/4 throttle. It seems ok if I rev it quick though. I tried adjusting the pilot screws, but the idle never changed no matter how far in or out I tried.

I may be getting a stock exhaust for free, but if it doesn't come through I would be willing to buy yours if it was cheap enough. How much would you want for it shipped to 42701?

Hey guys don't think I'm the forum police or anything but they'll shut down your thread if you start buying or selling and start laying down dollar signs. So you may want to use private messages or something else. Not being nosy just trying to help
