ive noticed that this bike slips alil bit in high and low gear 3rd gear and up....not to much on the low end just high...changed the oil 10 30w kawasaki atv oil... still slippin alil bit ... so i adjusted it...lost the clutch wouldnt move all together... fooled with it alil bit.. got it workin again but still revs to the moon... and still slippin...maybe go to a thicker oil? and re adjust? in 1 and 2nd gear it seems fine but as soon as u hit 3rd and give it the gas it slips even down hill.. what ya think ..i got the adjustment that far outta wack?
thanks

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g5...adjustment.jpg Follow this url to photobucket. It is for a 98 KLF 300 Boyou clutch adjustment. It should be the same as yours. Hope it helps you to get it adjusted right. NorminN.B. Also, make sure the oil contains friction additive for the clutch.

loosen the ajuster nut, turn the screw all the way in untill it gets hard then turn it out till you feel resistance and hold the screw with a flat head while you tighten the nut back up so it dosnt move on you. if you do that and the clutch is still acting up you mostlikely need some clutch plates, possibally a centrifical clutch or even both....for the centrifucgual clutch kawasaki oem is the only option.....for the plates, i reccomend kg frictions and springs and vesrah steel discs....it is the best and believe it or not the cheapest combo
