Yeah I already scratched up the back rack from going a little to far on a wheelie.

I bought a King Quad "700" thinking it would do the same thing...boy was I wrong!!! I've kicked myself for not going with the BF 750 for the past year b/c the King just plain and simply LACKS in the low end power b/c Susy detuned it sooooo bad. But I'm glad you made the right choice enjoy it man b/c your lucky!!!

Toyeboy, don't they make any aftermarket modules or anything to remove the de-tuning on that KQ?

Sadly no, It's been 2 years now and no one has released a replacement ECU yet. Sure there's the Power commander but it only adjusts fuel, the King's timing is what needs to be fixed to get rid of the lag.

But Velocity Devices Inc. is supposed to release an entire ECU replacement for the King that will do wonders for it, they're saying end of October but I'm thinking more in the December or January range honestly. Not to mention it's a going to be $400+.

If you like just about everything else about your KQ though, that $400 will seem trivial if it wakes that 700 up for you! Where are you in MI anyways? I'm from over near Kalamazoo.

Yeah I really do like my King Quad it's definitely one all around excellent ATV and I'll be getting that ECU b/c I've been waiting for it ever since I got the King. It will be like putting a different motor into the King's chassis b/c VDI's test results so far have confirmed this motor is a powerhouse once unrestricted and being a Fuel Injected 695cc dohc, I'm not suprised.

I'm on the east side of the state, about 9 miles east of Flint.....()..but at least I don't live in Flint.

The one for the King Quad will cost around $400 because it's an ECU not a CDI module. The Kawasaki CDI just controls timing b/c it's a carbed machine, but the King's ECU controls both timing and fuel through due to it being a fuel injected machine, it just complicates things more and increases the costs and labor.
