Bomabardier DS650 gets smeared by 400ex

I got clobbered in a drag by a Honda 400ex. Only mods on both are pipes. I read how fast the DS650 is but I aint seeing it. Im 6'2 275. Maybe thats holding me back?

Any suggestion on pimping up ponys on the DS650 without breaking the bank?
