Given any thought to the ITP Mudlite XTR's??? I ride the 27inch tires on the 14 inch wheels, have no problems with that and handles much nicer on the trails than the Outlaw MST's, not familiar with the other tires you mentioned

Not sure how they could ride better, but maybe they do. Many posts comparing tires to mst's on highlifter. He did mention riding in mud though, and mudlites aren't much for mud. I'm sure the XTR's are quite heavy also with them being radial.

Are the bi/tri claws rough riding on the trails and rocks though? I can tell by the looks they would mud good and what about getting punctures because they are only 4 ply?

Ya roofer they are a heacy tire... I only ride about 20 percent mud so they are fine for me.... I had the MST's and they beat the hell out of me on the trails... but in fairness those were on 12 inch rims... I think the 14 inch rims is really the key to the better trail ride. The only place the MST's performed better for me was in the mud, but I didn't ride in that enough to warrant another set of MST's.

rowdy5050, the mud machine's have the most sidewall bite out of those two.

why would you say they suck from what I have read they are comparable to the mudbugs except the mst's ride smoother and have a flatter profile and more sidewall bite than the bugs.
