I wanted to get some guys opinions that have run these tires. I like both of them but the claws are only 4 ply and they are still 2 pounds heavier per tire. I have a BF 750 and i do about 50% hunting and trail riding and 50% mudding so i think one of these tires would be great for that just wanted to here some other opinions before i buy them.

 

I want to get some 27x9.5x12 and 27x12x12 Outlaws for my 400 Bayou. That with a lift kit on it, will hopefully satisfy my taste. So I'm looking for opinions to on this thread. I can say one thing, I rode with a buddy of mine who just put some mudzilla's on his Grizzly, and all I can say is wow, I'm a believer. There were two mud pits where I ride that you don't dare attempt unless you have a winch or rope. And he laughed as he went thru them. I even bowed a few times when he went thru them saying I believe. If it wasn't for the fact I do a lot of hill climbing, I'd already have a set on order.

 

well one of my friends has the outlaw mst and another used tri claws and bi claws with half their original tread with the tri claws on the rear and bi up front and i seen him bury his foreman up to the top of the front and rear fenders in georgia red clay with no lift kit, buried, and got stuck going forward but he put it in reverse and hit the gas and let it stop and just kept hittin the gas like that and literally "hopped" himself out in reverse, and for the other foreman with the outlaws their more of a less aggressive "trail" tire than a true mud tire so from that make your judgement on wich fits you best.

 

400fnsport, you do know that the regular outlaws and the outlaw m.s.t is 2 different tires right?

 

Yeah I'm talking about the MST's. I was going between either MST's, Magnum Bi's, Mud Lites's or Mud bugs, just don't know what I want to do yet. But I've already ruled out Mud bugs, so I'm down to the three. I would love to go to a true mud tire like the regular Outlaws, Mudzilla's, or even 589's. But while my friend can go thru a mud pit, he had a lot of trouble on the technical trails we ride like the steep hills we have. I'm just trying to figure out which is the best for both worlds.

 

Tough choice. They all mud well. I would choose the MST's or Mudbugs over the others though. The bi-tri's are not 6 ply, thats the only downfall they have besides their weight, but not bad for a mud tire. I don't know why you would rule out mudbugs and then consider mudlites? The bugs will out do them in any aspect, so will the mst's.

well in that case go with the mst's. their not real heavy, they are decently agressive and not too bulky.

 

Hey Rowdy5050, where you ordering your MST's from? I've been snooping around the net for the best price.

 

Best prices that I found was at www.atvoutfitters.net. I got a set of 26/9/12 annd 26/12/12 on ITP type 7 wheels for $620. They dont look half bad either.
