Default Dynatek and rough startup

Like the title says, every since i put the Dynatek CDI on it is very cold natured. I choke it all the way at first and it starts and revs pretty high, it will slowly idle down and want to die so i relaease the choke and it does die. I restart and it idles rough and dies. When it warms up it runs fine, i thought theses things aer supposed to make them easier to start? Let me know if anybody has seen this before.

Thanks

I put a dynatek cdi in my 650 bf and it does the same thing. I also put a hmf pipe and jet kit with k&n filter. when it gets warmed up its all power.

I have similar experience. I don't think it is a rough start.......It is just different. Less choke or more choke than normal and less throttle or more throttle than normal. I am still experimenting. I haven't had to use the choke down to 50 degrees or so and its tarts fine with the stock cdi. Now I got the dyna and the temps have gone from 70 monday and now it's 15, so it is hard to tell how it's gonna start. I have realized though that it starts a bit differently.
