Default need brute help

well my bro has a 06 brute force 750 and he recently installed a jet kit, slip on exhaust, dg-5, aftermarket belt, and a k&n. ever since we installed it the bike started misfiring, and we found out the spark plug boot was tore. so we replaced it and it only fixed 60% of the problem. the bike is still mis-firing, would any1 know what the problem could b?

The first thing I would do is double and tripple check the wiring on the dg5. If all checks out good there I would then pull the plugs and check them. Make sure your not way lean or rich. An easy check is to warm the motor up and ride it where the miss is the worse. When your at a steady speed and throttle position slowly put on the choke. If the motor levels out and gets better than your lean and need to jet up if it gets worse then you are rich and need to back off a little. Remember there is more to jetting than just the mains and do only 1 change at a time so you know where your at. The very best thing to do is to take it to a dyno and have it tuned in if you have access to one in your area. Let us know how it works out.

i bet it is a jetting issue. when you screw with the airflow (k&n, pipe, ect..) you will usually have to re-jet to compensate.

1 try playing with the air screws
2 try to find out were it miss fires (half throtle,3/4 throtle or full throtle)
3 and then from their you can adjust your carb
