Default Which Kawasaki Sport Utility AWD ATV should I get?

I'm having a real dillema here. I've been doing research for several weeks and I'm trying to decide which quad to get.

I've read that the 750 and 650 are nearly identical. Some say that the 650 handles better because it is 1" lower to the ground and it's easier to keep on the ground. Others say that the 750 is the one to get and you just need to learn how to drive it properly to keep all 4 wheels on the ground. A friend of mine who has a Prarie 360 said that when he test drove the Brute Forces they were too unstable and less sporty than the Prarie.

I'm going to be using this quad for plowing snow on my property (not a huge driveway) and to go on trail runs with some guys that I know. Stability is important to me. I don't want to be handicapped for picking the 750 in terms of maneuverability but I really would like to get the most high end quad I can get. If it makes a difference...I'm 5'9" and 165 pounds.

I'm going this week to test drive all three of them but was wondering from your experiences which would should I get if I have the money?

Okay..some clarification..I just spoke with my friend with the Prarie and he has the 2004 4x4 700 which would explain why he recomened that one. I'm looking at the kawasaki website and the Prarie 360 is all that's available. I couldn't understand why he thought the Prarie was in the same class as the Brute Force!

The reason your friend thought they were in the same class is because the 700 Prairie and the 650 and 750 Brute Forces all use the same V-twin just with different displacements. Unfortunately Kawasaki discontinued the 700 Prairie but they still make an SRA version of the 650 Brute Force In my opinion unless you spend most of your time in the mud solid rear axle (SRA) is the way to go. Reasons for this are is they are much simpler, lighter, and better handling. Now as far as between the 360 an the 700 Prairie thats up to you I have the 360 and it will get you from A to B but not in a hurry. I wish I would have got the 700.

Dont get the 360. God you'll be disappointed with that over a 650 or 750 Brute. Get the 750, you'll be fine and good to go. My older bro has a 06 750 and my friend just bought a 07 750. You'll be happy. Have fun...

The confusion is because the the brute force 650 sra is a prairie. Almost any part except for plastic and related body parts or motor internals are the same. Every aftermarket part on my 05 brute force 650 will work on a prairie 700/650. I think the air box is a little different on 02 p650's. The sra brute is as sporty as it gets as far as handling goes on a big 4x4. The 650 sra will power slide like a sport quad and is very stable in tricky situations. I sold my p360 to get my 650 and the 360 is a very solid quad. The 360 is just slow, very durable, but slow.

Thanks for the feedback...I ended up going with a black brute force 650i with a set of 14" motosport tork alloy wheels and I believe mudlight tires. I chose the 650i because I was on a budget and wouldn't have been able to get the wheel and tire upgrade if I got the 750. I pick it up tomorrow!

What price are most paying for the BF 650 SRA, I'm looking to upgrade to the 650 this year, looking to offer $5500, is that to low?

Seems like price depends on where your at. In my area the best price I've seen on an '07 650 SRA is $5899 out the door.

My '06 650SRA was $5499+tax/tags back in April '06.

I got the 650SRA because I like the sporty feel of SRA over the comfyness of Independent, plus the SRA 650 still has the power I wanted.

I paid $5575 for my 07 BF650 SRA with a warren winch not installed. I believe out the door was around $5900. That is back at the end of December when Kawasaki had a $400 rebate.
