Default 2007 Kawasaki Brute Force Crankcase Leaking

I purchased my Brute Force 750 about 3 days ago I noticed an oil leak with only 5 hours on the machine. I took it back to the dealer and said they are going to have to replace my crankcase. This is what confused me, It isn't cracked it is leaking straight through the metal. I still want a Brute force but not this one. They are going to rebuild the motor and you know once that happens it will never be the same. I called Kawasaki and they pretty much told me tough
NEED HELP!!!!!!
What are my rights on exchanging???

all you can do is talk to a lawyer and tell him your problem. i understand why you wouldn't want a 3 day vehicle completely tore down. let us know how it ends up.

I understand how you feel about this. My 360 seized up with just a few hours on it. The dealership was very supportive but Kawasaki was firm about rebuilding rather than replacing. As it turned out I am very happy with the work that was done and have had no further problems with the quad.

It will depend on the dealership and the mechanic that does the work. I got lucky on both and hope you have the same good fortune.

If the repairs are less than perfect then would be the time to contact a lawyer and rattle some cages. As long as they are honoring the warrantee you probably don't have a lot of recourse. Laws vary from state to state and you might want to check with your State Attorney General for specifics.

Yes, after the engine rebuild, there is no doubt that it will never be the same. It can be either better or worse. It all depends on the ability of people who are doing the job.
Would you trust the factory assembly workers or your dealer mechanics?
If you really don't want your engine to be rebuilt, you may have your dealer JB-weld it for now (if the leak can be stopped) and get a free extended warranty from Kawi in case it leaks again in the future. In that way, you are covered for now and in the future, and have the comfort of the engine not being torn apart. Good luck.
