Default Hello everyone..Newbie Here

Picked up a BRAND NEW out of the crate, 2004 Green KFX 700. Got left over stock for $3000.00 and no tax with Warranty. I am ready for some mods now already. I do mostly trail riding and plan on adding nerf bars, skid plates and front bumper to start. I would like to do some motor mods, but i dont have much knowledge on jetting ATV's or M/C. So where should i start to get a little more power? I have read about airbox modding but i do get in some mud and need some input on where to start, so feel free to throw some things out to me !!

It will get quicker once it breaks in........ My 400 used to beat my father's 700 pretty easily before his was broken in. But after he would pull about a 1/2 length ahead through the gears........ The break-in oil is really thick and hinders revving.

Thanks. Sounds like i need to run it a bit more then change the oil and clutch spring. I might try to find a white polaris spring to start. I do plan on some airbox mods and pipes before summer. I am still trying to take the info in and put it to use. The last Carb i messed with was an old Holly 750 DP and that was 15 years ago, so the carb jetting is what has me a little worried about getting the correct jetting.
