Anyone from Maryland??
#1
Hey Ya'll,
I'm from Washington County, MD....I didn't know if there was anyone from around the same area that would maybe want an extra person to ride with. My bf and I just broke up and that's where I kept my Brute Force.....Now I am moving it to a friends house and need new places to ride and new people to ride with. Anyone interested or available?

GirlsNeedToysToo - a "PM" is a "Private Message". This is a post that is only viewable by you (or someone signed in under your login ID).
If you look on the right side of this web page up next to your first post on this thread (when you are logged in) you will see a column that has your user name and underneath that is the phrase "Private Messages". Underneath this is a clickable link that follows a number. If this number is something other than "0" that means that you have private messages waiting for you to look at. Just click on the link to view your private messages.
Basically what I was telling you in the private message is that you DO have riders (male and female) in your area. Quite a few in fact. Have a look at the private message I sent to you for more details...

Jamakn, I got rid of 2 quads to get the 700 Grizzly. Yes, it's the one with FI and electronically assisted power steering (EPS). I actually traded in my Banshee which I just didn't ride very much (I like my Raptor better). Then I sold my Brute Force 750 separately around the same time.
I'm not a brand loyal person at all, I go for the quad that suits me the best, based upon the features it has, how it handles, how it feels, etc. It's reputation (other peoples experience) does play a part as well. In a way I do miss the Brute Force. I loved the sound of that beast and it had gobs of power. I had a Dynatek ignition system in it and I had upgraded to Elka suspension. It was a hard runner and handled well. The main reason I wanted to make a move though was it was nickel and diming me more than anything else I've had so far. I've had quite a few issues with it but fortunately most were covered by the extended warranty I had purchased. I was also on my 3rd drive belt with only about 2500 miles on the machine. My old '02 Grizzly has stood up to the punishment that I dish out a lot better so that is why I was very interested in switching to a new Grizzly.
Of course I really like my Raptor too and didn't have any issues at all with it's FI system, so I figured the new Grizzly would be OK in that department (as well as the new engine). I was only "curious" about the electronic power steering system at the time, but I was starting to read a lot of raving reviews about it. Those reviews were right too, I'm a pretty big guy and have no trouble handling a stiff steering quad but that EPS on the new Grizzly will spoil you quickly. What is really cool about it is that it feels the same (buttery smooth) whether you are in 2WD or 4WD (limited slip mode) and over any kind of terrain. The steering has a very natural "feel" to it, it's just that it's so "easy". The added plus you get with it though is that it reduces the amount of handlebar / steering deflection when you hit rocks / logs with one side of the quad kind of like a steering damper system does. The other reason I wanted to make the "move" is that I wanted a fuel injected utility quad in time for my August Utah trip this year. However on a side note my Brute did very well out there in 2005 with stock jetting. It was a little down on power higher up, but it still ran fine.
The big thing I have about a 4x4 machine is that I like "manual" controls. Well the auto tranny is cool and I actually prefer it for the most part in a utility, but I want independent front and rear brake controls, and I want manual 4WD engagement / disengagement capability along with a front diff locker. So this narrows down the list of quads that are in my "check out" list.
There is a difference of power between the new Grizzly and the Brute 750. However both will easily ****** the front wheels off the ground with just throttle application (in low range). The Brute will just do it a little more violently!...

excellant comments.
I about to get the 650i in next two weeks...just need the time to hit the local dealers and carve out my deal.
Was curious about the Yamaha as I have been reading a lot about it as well. Sounds like a great machine. My friendsa lso just got the 700KQ and 700 Sprotsman, so I have an itch to scratch as well as want to get the right machine. I ride hard, sometimes faster than I should. I think I want Indi' rear and I def. want something to handle deep mud and rocky terrian. Kawi sseems to be fit for me, as my P360 has been taking spanking since I got it. Not married to one manf. or the other, but again, the power, cost and handling of the 650i seem to have me locked in if you will....
Thx again!
PS. plus I hear hot chick digs 650i's, flmao
