Default Winch question for a P360

I kinda pride myself with being a half-decent shade tree mechanic..... so now the question.

I was installing a new winch on my girlfriend's '07 Prairie 360 and everything was going great until I was trying to find a suitable place to mount the contactor. The only place that I have been able to find is inside the dry storage box in the back. So where has everyone else mounted it?

My ride is an AC 650 H1 LE plus we have a Mule for working around the property. Never too many toys.

Thanks for your input.

Original location was on a bracket my son made up and mounted directly above the dry storage box. Have since moved it to inside the cargo box on the front rack. Better protection from the weather and shorter cable runs.

Default Winch question for a P360

I mounted mine in the back storage container by rear tail light. It worked out good for me.

I mounted the solenoid on the bottom of the big area and used a 1" chipper bit and drilled above that solenoid to get the wires in. Then I sealed the hole with Plumbers Goop after all the wires were in.

beleive it or not, I installed a Venom 2K last year and the box just sits firmly in the dry storage under the seat.
There was no room to bolt it and it stays dry. Wiring nice and tight as I tied it down.
No issue.

Default Winch question for a P360

Just finished the install last night and everything works like a champ. I put the contactor inside the dry box and drilled a couple small holes in the top for the wires. Them a put a little silicon in around each wire to seal out moisture.

If the installer did not cut any of your wires I would think it would be easy to more the contactor. Just find out where the wires are bundled and unbundle them, disconnect the wires, drill some holes and re-intall.
