Will kawi ever make a 800 brute?
#1
Just starting to wonder if this is ever going to happen. All I have heard about the last 2 years is how an 800cc brute will be out the next year. My 2002 prairie 650 is starting to get tired and I don't want a 750 that is no faster than my 650. It is time for kawi to step up to the plate or go sit in the bleachers and watch everyone else cruise on by. At least throw some EFI on the 750. I love kawi to death, but I am ready for something brand new this year, isn't anyone else?

You mean watch CAN-AM crusie on by. Because to the best of my knowledge, that is the only quad that will out run a BF stock for stock. EFI in my humble opinion would be a waste. In addition, it would significantly increase the price of the BF which is one of its appealing factors. You could always buy a 750 and put a 840 kit on it.. The CAN-AM may be faster, but I promise you when we get to wherever we are going, I will have more money to spend

Kawie will have the 750 bf bumped up to an 800cc EFI bf in 2008 with some suspension geometry changes according to my friend in the service department at the local dealer. He says this b/c the new sport side by side that kawie has coming out will have an 800cc EFI bf vtwin. He mentioned the HP will be 65. I can see kawie doing this, but I will totally believe it once pictures and write ups appeare.

Well so long as it happens this year. Doesn't the announcement usually come sometime in August? I really don't care if it costs a little more, I just want a kawi that is back on top. Do you think a new body will accompany the new motor?

Arctic Cat is going to have an 800cc ATV. I talked to a Factory Rep. at the 2008 Snowmobile Show and he said they are building their own 800 cc ATV engine.SS

I'll believe it when I see it. There has been speculation of this issue for quite a while!! "IF" it happens, it's probably going to have the same problems as the King Quad with all the built in retarding and upgrading it will be a pain as well..
