hi i just bought a 2001 220 bayou i went to change the oil fillter. In the diagram on the manual it says that there is a element mounting pin. there in my quad the fillter was just put in there so i did the same but i was wondering should it be like this? is it ok to ride it like this? also i filled the oil to where it should be but the once i started it the oil looked low is that because the mounting pin ? thanks kevin

 

are you talking about the pin that goes through the center of the filter if so yes it needs to be there
