650i or canam 650
yes i have a brute force, but my bro is looking at at the canam 650. i am trying to do a comparison of features besides the money issue. On the canam site they say the 650 has more power than a yamaha grizzly, honda rincon 680, but make no mention of the kawasaki 650. I am wondering why????

I would think that they didnt mention the brute, is because the Grizzly, and Rincon 680, are so popular, in comparison to the Brute. I have heard through a few different sources, that the Can-am's frames has some weakness issues. One guy I ride with has the outty 800, and has had the frame repaired twice. Once for a CRUSHED tube, another for broken tube. That to me, is enough to say no way to the can-am.

650i or canam 650
I did a little research before I bought my 750i. I read in Dirt wheels that the can-am had weak frame issues. It did place first in the drag race and I believe torgue. But my 750 will stand strait up if I punch it. It has plenty of speed and torgue and I just sold a 660 grizz. I haven't had any issues yet with my 750 since jan. Also a buddy of mine rode with a 700 grizzly(he also has a 750) and he said that the grizz didn't have any power and the grizz also snapped the front drive shaft that night.

I went to the Can-Am dealer Friday after work, just to poke around, and to check trailer prices. I looked at the 650, and noticed the battery is fully exposed, behind the machine. Then i asked the dealer why they didnt come standard with skids. His response "some people dont want skid plates, they are added weight." What a crock of shat. I think the Can ams are sweet looking rides, but who doesnt want added protection???? It was a quick stupid answer to something he knows Can-Am screwed up on.

I also rode a 700 grizz a few weeks ago, and it doesnt seem to have any more power that my V2 cat, but he swears it will beat a 750 brute!! I kind of had to giggle. Also rode with an 800 can am last year, impressive power, but he bent his swing arm and pulled his axle out af the rear diff. Done that a few times since apparently.

I was faced with the same question. Witch one to buy? After thinking, reading and riding both of them I got the Brute 650i and have never looked back. I think the Bombs are very nice. The main thing that I don't like is the price. I think with atv's a guy needs to cut his losses as much as possible. There for the less you have in one the less loss you will acer. Just my thoughts and very happy with my choice.
