Default HELP!

I had a similar post in the Arctic Cat section that has gone without reply, so I'm turning to you Kawi fans!! I'm buying my 1st ATV. A dealer in my area has a 2005 Arctic Cat 650V2 LE listed for $3999, the only problem is it has 3300 miles on it. Now I know it isn't a Kawi but since it has a Kawi motor and tranny I figure maybe you guys could help me out!! Is it worth buying an ATV with this many miles?? If so what problems can I forsee?? Do dealerships offer warrantees on older ATV's?? The plastic is in real good shape and the brush guards only have minor scratches, so it looks like it might have been taken care of !! Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Default HELP!

I've got an '05 650 Brute Force it's got 1650 miles on it. I can tell you they are very tuff motors. Whoever assembled my bike forgot to plug in the over heat light sensor. I rode the bike for almost 2 years with out knowing this!!! Last fall was on a ride in TN (windrock) rode all day and was getting late so we hauled butt back to the trucks...the guy i was with was on a Prairie 360 we were running around 45-50 all of a sudden i noticed i was loosing speed and he was leaving me....i could not keep up throttle was pinned.....!! long story short the thermostat had stuck....no coolant getting to the radiator at all!!! Motor over heated to the point it melted the dip stick!!! It did get me back to the truck however...took it back to the dealer they called told me that the sensor was not plugged in Kawasaki paid the entire bill.....only damage to the motor from this was a blown head gasket....bike had 1000 miles on it at the time I've put 650 since then all is well...long story but i don't think you will have a problem!

Default HELP!

I see no problem in that many miles. Just take care of it starting out with a good oil change and filter and it will take care of you!
