I know it's always tempting to soup up a new toy (even more so when it is one of the baddest ones out there). But always consider a possible conflict between the factory warranty and your mods. I would religiously follow maintenance check ups and beef up whatever weaknesses there may exist, instead of jumping onto power add-ons. Here are some proven suggestions on 750:
> Aluminum skid-plates and CV guards. Factory plastic ones are junk.
> Water temp gauge to monitor your cooling system function.
> Disconnect all the electrical connectors you can find and apply water-proof grease to prevent water and dust intrusion.
> Remove A-arm pivot bolts/nuts and apply water-proof grease.
> Torque all nuts and bolts on the suspension area to the spec - apply loctite on threads.
> Replace engine oil and front diff oil to synthetic type.
> Hook up a trickle charger on the battery whenever you are not riding.
> Add Stabil in gas tank if you would not be riding for more than a month.
You spent lots of $$ on the toy. I'm sure you want to keep it running well for a long time.
